New And Used Mannequins

Mannequin on Display Display mannequins and sewing mannequins come in a huge array of styles, and they offer seemingly limitless options and features.

You can even buy CPR mannequins, male or female, cat or dog! There are so many different kinds of mannequins that it`s hard really to accurately compare all of them.

However, one thing is true - products like clothes, hats, even jewelry sell better displayed on a mannequin than they do off a hanger!Especially when it comes to selling apparel online. A photo taken with a dress lying limply on the floor or hanging lifelessly on a hanger will not sell as fast or at as high a price as an item that was photographed on a dummy, Dummy.

Since we're on the topic of the different kinds of mannequins, I'll just name a few - female mannequins, dress forms, CPR and Emergency training mannequins, inflatable mannequins, realistic mannequins, plus size and pregnant mannequins!Sheesh, and that`s not even all of them! So, if you're looking to buy a new or used mannequin, I hope you know what you're looking for, and you're not a pediophobe (having a fear of mannequins)!

The type of Mannequin you are going to buy depends on your needs. You may be a CPR trainer in need of a teaching mannequin. You may be a taylor who needs a mannequin to perform alterations.Whatever your need, have a look around and you will be able to find exactly what you are looking for!

When shopping for any sort of mannequin, it`s best to know what you're getting for your money, so here are a few tips.

1. Price Points - The less expensive, cheap mannequins tend to be made from relatively inexpensive plastics, and while for normal low-light conditions, this is fine, putting one in your store window may cause problems. They tend to yellow under UV light, and some of the joints may even shrink and turn floppy under the rays.

2. A Used Mannequin may not be as cheap as a New mannequin. Since the overall quality of a mannequin varies greatly, some new mannequins will be cheaper than some used mannequins. Get all the details before you buy! A new mannequin isn't always better!

3. Child mannequins, plus sized, and pregnant mannequins are tricky, and you're less likely to find them new or used! If you're looking for plus sized, it may be easier just to use a dress form.

As with child sized, go with the wire flexible and bendable mannequins. They're not as realistic, but you can get more "motion" from them, and they look more playful and less creepy! Beware, though, the older they are, they may require restoration or antique doll repair from a specialist.
